Obituary

John Andrews, 68, of 617 Summer street, Citizens Water company employe the past 20 years, died at Mercy hospital Sunday afternoon following a week's illness.
A resident of Burlington 37 years, he was born in Lafayette, Ind., March 16, 1870. he and Alice Peterson were married in Lafayette 38 years ago. Mr. Andrews, a filterman, worked until his last illness whic came upon him suddenly. He was widely known here.
Surviving are his widwo, Mrs. Alice Andrews; two sons, John Jr., at home, and Leonard of St. Paul, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Adolphson of Burlington; and Mrs. Carl Kluge, huston, Tex.; three brothers, ike and Robert of Lafayette, and Jacob of California; two sisters, Mrs. Toney Hatton of Lafayette and Mrs. Homer Jolly of Kokomo, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. W.A. Samp, pastor of Harrison Avenue Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
