Elda Matilda Bueschr, 93, of Burlington, died at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at Burlington Care Center. Born Jan. 8, 1907, in Sperry, she was the daughter of Phillip Henry and Mary Catherine Riepe Buescher. Miss Buescher was one of the first graduates of Sperry High School. She worked in the alterations department at J.S. Schramm for 28 years, retiring in 1972. Prior to that, she worked in the dietary department at Burlington Medical Center. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, the Missions Circle of the church, and the American Associated of Retired Persons. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, nine sisters, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in Lunning Chapel. There will be no family visitation. The funeral for Mrs. Buescher will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Milo Van Veldhuizen officiating
