Obituary
The funeral of Benjamin Briles took place from Unterkircher’s chapel yesterday afternoon. Dr. JB Sutherland officiated and Mr. and Mrs. Alfs sang. A number of the members of Matthies Post, FAR, paid the departed comrade the last honors, Benjamin Briles was sixty-one years of age and a plasterer by trade. He was formerly a resident of this city but had been living in Davenport for some time. He leaves a number of relatives here. He was a good citizen and well thought of by all who knew him.
