Services for Fred W. Ertz, 78, who died Sunday in Burlington hospital, were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Prugh's chapel, the Rev. Theodore F. Moehring officiating. Burial was in Aspen Grove cemetery. He was born in Burlington on Jan. 26, 1884, the son of Samuel and Mary Tressel Ertz, and married Elsie mcGregor at Monmouth, IL on July 17, 1916. Ertz was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Railroad Veterans. He wa a pipefitter at the Burlington railroad shops and later worked at Aspen Grove cemetery.
