Dr. John F. Brunken, 79, of Hanson, Kentucky and formerly of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Burlington died at 2:12 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.
Born April 6, 1934 in Burlington, he was the son of John H. and Nellie Westerbeck Brunken. He married Allena M. Pence who preceded him in death on February 2, 1995.
Dr. Brunken was an Army veteran. He was a chiropractor for 33 years. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Kentucky Association of Chiropractic and American Chiropractic Association.
Survivors include his brother, Dale Brunken of Wisconsin and his sisters, Lois Wardle of Texas, Louella Ridler of Washington and Donna Myers of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Robert Brunken and sister Elizabeth Brunken
The graveside funeral service and interment for Dr. Brunken will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3rd, in Aspen Grove Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Mix officiating. The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
