August Wedertz, the well known blacksmith, passed away yesterday afternoon at his home, No. 1423 Osborn street, after an illness of two years. Deceased was a native of Germany, 66 years of age, and had lived in Iowa 44 years. He was widely known and had many friends. He is survived by the widow and the following children: Mrs. J.H. Dustman, Mrs. A. Hermann, Mrs. W. Browon, Mrs. M. Brown, all of this city; Mrs. J. Watt, of Flint River township; Alexander and Albert Wedrtz of Rock Island. The arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.
