Mr. Owen Edwin York, 57, of 2210 Flint hill drive died at 9 a.m. Friday at Burlington hospital where he was taken by police ambulance after becoming ill at home. He had been ill one year. He was born June 1, 1906, at Schuyler County, Mo., the son of Newton and Ada Owens York. On July 5, 1929, he was married at Bloomfield, Ia. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran church, the Eagles, and was a storekeeper at the IAAP. Surviving are: his wife, Dorothy L.; three children, Mrs. Charles E. Schulz, Marion and Daniel l. York, all of Burlington; five grandchildren, all of Burlington; and one brother, Harold York, Downing, Mo. The body is at Prugh's Chapel.
