Obituary
William Campbell, another old resident of Des Moines county passed away at the residence of his niece, Mrs. John Gillies, No. 1413 Agency street, at 9;30 o'clock this morning. He has lived in this county for forty years and was born in Coleraine county, Ireland; on April 9, 1825. Mr. Campbell came to America in the year of 1854 and located in Salt Lake City. Not liking the manners and customs of the people he moved to Platte county, Mo., afterwards coming to this city in the year of 1866. He retired from active life several years ago and since that time has been leading a quiet, restful life at the home of his niece. He was a man of many excellent qualities and was highly respected by a large circle of friends. The funeral will be held from Prugh's undertaking parlors Saturday afternoon.
