Mrs. Anna Marie Broeker, an old and highly respected resident of Burlington, passed away Monday morning at her home, No. 1829 Griswold Street. She had been ailing some six weeks, and friends and relatives had been hoping for a change for the better. Anna Marie Steinakamp was born in Germany, October 8, 1839, and came to this country and to Burlington in 1865. The following year, she became the wife of Ludwig Broeker. The union proved a very happy one, and deceased is mourned by the husband and the following children: Fred and Carl Broeker, of this city; Mrs. Anna Lemme, of LaJara, Colo.; and Will Broeker, of Peoria. Many friends and relatives will hold her in kindly remembrance. Deceased was a faithful member of the German Baptist Church and Ladies ' society of that organization. The funeral services will take place Wednesday afternoon. There will be a short service at the home, regular funeral services at the church on Oak Street and interment in Aspen Grove. Friends are invited to the service at the church; the other services are private. The Rev.. Otto E Kraeger, pastor of the German Baptist church, will officiate.
