Mrs. Caroline Barbara Young, wife of Peter F. Young, passed away late Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Gerdom, 1304 North Seventh street, with whom she has made her home for the last two months. She was born in New Orleans, March 4, 1861, and came here when she was seven years old, this city being her home the balance of her life. On June 20, 1888, she was united in marriage to Peter F. Young. Mrs. Young was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and Protection Lodge, Degree of Honor, No.3. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Herbert Framen and Mrs. Henry Gerdom of Burlington; one brother, Philip Jacquinet of Rock Island; two sisters, Mrs. J.F. Young and Mrs. Clementine Swallow of Burlington. Three grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held from the home at two o'clock on Saturday afternoon, and the body was removed from Prugh's chapel to the residence this afternoon. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
