Lewis B. Wallbridge, 74, of 1037 S. Starr, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Burlington Medical Center. The owner of Gnahn;s book store, he was born July 11, 1903, in Burlington, the son of Lewis C. and Anna Boeck Wallbridge, He married Jean Gilson here on Oct. 23, 1933. He was a member of the First Congregational church, Carthage Lake club, Elks, Eagles, Burlington golf club, Chamber of Commerce, Des Moines County Society for Crippled Children and Adults, American Booksellers Assn., and National Office Products Assn. Surviving: The wife; son, Lewis C., San Jose, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Ann Hass, Burlington; and three grandchildren. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Prugh's chapel, Rev. Authur Krebs; Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial has been established at the University of Iowa Foundation Leukemia Research Fund.
