John R. Ebert, 77, of 923 N. Third St., died 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 1988, at the Danville Nursing Home. Born Oct. 4, 1911, in Burlington, he was the son of John E. and Luella Moyer Ebert. He married Relda Park. He was employed with the federal government before retiring. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Surviving are his wife; one son, Thomas Ebert, Breckenridge, Colo.; one daughter, Jackie Ebert, Keokuk; one brother, Carl Counts, Palm Springs, Calif.; one sister, Helen Smalling, Ames; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's chapel.
