Services for 83-year-old Mrs. Adna M. Brooks of Park Manor convalescent home, who died Wednesday in St. Francis hospital, will be held at Christ Episcopal Church Saturday at two, the Rev. E. William Strauser officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The body is at the Prugh Chapel.
A long-time member of the staff, of the public library, Mrs. Brooks was a life resident of Burlington. She was the daughter of Darius and Josephine Hay Mason, and was born April 27, 1884. She was married to Miller R. Brooks in Burlington on June 23, 1906; he died Nov. 14, 1943. Mrs. Broks was a member of Christ church, the Women’s Guild of that church, and the Kin’s Daughters.
Surviving: son Miller R. Brooks of Philipsburg, NJ; brother Alfred Mason of Glendale, Calif., and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Brooks was a descendant of one of Burlington’s earliest families. A brother, Percy Mason, died previously.
