Obituary
On the Quincy train last evening, in charge of her son, Rev. George J. Johnson, of Alton, arrived the remains of Mrs. Emma Warren, mother of Mrs. Judge Newman, of this city, Mrs. Warren had attained an age beyond the allotted time, being in her eightieth year at the time of her death. She has resided with her daughter in this city a number of years and her Christian virtues and patient resignation under years of infirmity, earned for her the respectful admiration of all who knew her. At the time of her death she was on a brief visit to her son at Alton, but was suddenly stricken down, and, last night, her remains were brought back to her sorrowing relatives in this city for interment. The funeral will take place, this afternoon, at two o'clock, from the residence of Judge Newman, 1015 North Fifth street.
