Obituary

Miss Louise M. Biklen, 73, a native of Burlington, died at 4 pm Wednesday in Burlington hospital, after an illness of three weeks.
Born in Burlington, July 9, 1868, she continued residence in Burlington at the old home, 517 S. Seventh Street, until a year and a half ago, when she went to Wapello to make her home with her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Biklen.
Miss Biklen, a registered nurse, was a member of the first graduating class of Burlington hospital training school. She was an active member of the Zion Evangelical church, taught Sunday school there. Was identified with the Ladies Aid of the church and was an active member of Chapter P. PEO society.
Surviving are two brothers, William of Burlington and Herman of Waterloo; one sister, Mrs. Philip Blaufuss of Burlington, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home. Rev. A Koelling will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
