Obituary
Mrs. Catherine Carsten Bicklen, resident of Wapello since 1937, died at her home here at 5:10 pm Monday. Her husband is proprietor of the Biklen Variety store here.
Mrs. Biklen was born at West Points, Ia., and had resided at Burlington and Washington before establishing her home here. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge at Burlington and the Presbyterian church here (Muscatine).
Surviving besides her husband are one son, Charles, and a grandson, Herman Barrie Biklen.
The body is at the Jamison and Dudgeon Funeral home and rites will be held there at 2 pm Wednesday followed by a prayer service at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. Dr. John Fraser of the Wapello Presbyterian church will be in charge.
