Alfred Bloom, former West Burlington resident, died at his home in Denver, Col., March 14 according to a telegram received here Monday. He was formerly employed at the local railroad shops.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Henry Larson; a son, Swan Bloom, Lincoln, Neb.; two brothers, Burlington, and a sister in Stronghurst, Ill.
The body will arrive in Burlington Wednesday morning. Committal services in Aspen Grove Cemetery for Mr. Bloom who passed away at Denver, Colo., March 14, 1942, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. AD Freden will officiate. The remains are at Prugh’s Chapel where friends may call.
