Mrs. Clara Gertrude Binder, 87, a resident for 61 years at 324 N. D St., died Thursday at 7:25 pm at Monmouth Hospital.
Clara Gertrude Hoffman was born April 14, 1880, in Germany and came to the United States in 1885 with her parents. The family settled in Burlington, where she was reared and educated.
April 14, 1905, she married George John Binder who preceded her in death.
She was a housewife and worked for Western Stoneware Co. until her retirement in 1955. She was also a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Loyal (Georgina) Linquist of Monmouth, and Mrs. James W. (Rufena) Kinney of Marshalltown, Iowa, and two grandsons.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 am at the Immaculate Conception Church. Rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 pm at the Turnbull Funeral Home. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at Burlington.
