David “Jike” Robert Brockett, 47, of 1115 Vine St., Burlington, died at 2:25 pm Monday, Oct. 27.7997, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born March 20, 1950, in Burlington, he was the son of Robert Ora and D. Marie Dietsch Brockett. He married Barbara J. Meuller Sept. 10, 1971.
Mr. Brockett worked in production at Heartland Packaging. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and made wooden yard ornaments. He was a Great River CB Club member and First Southern Baptist Church member.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of Burlington, and one daughter, Debra Lynn Mondorf of Burlington; one daughter, Debra Lynn Mondorf of Burlington; one son, Michael Robert Brockett of Carman, Ill.; five grandchildren; his parents of Burlington; four sisters, Susan Eaton of Burlington, Earla Shelledy of Donahue, Connie Hutchinson of Danville and Bonnie Richardson of Rockford, Ill,; and two brothers, Rick Brockett of West Burlington and Nick Brockett of Auburndale, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 pm
The funeral for Mr. Brockett will be 2 pm Friday at Prugh’s chapel, with the Rev. James Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
