Coolege Britton, 63, of 707 S. Fourth St., died at 9:20 pm Tuesday, May 22, 1990, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born March 30, 1927, he was the son of Hattie Britton.
He was a machine operator for Heatliator in Mount Pleasant. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are Jonnie Mae Watson, with whom he made his home; three daughters, Louise Chambers, California, Nancy Mae Clark, Rochester, NY and Barbara Ann Johnson, Lucia, Ark.; two sons, Calvin Britton, Florida, and Milton Britton, Burlington; two brothers, Robert Britton, Gary, Ind., and DC Britton, Detroit, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; 23 stepchildren; 66 stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Monday at Prugh’s Chapel.
The service for Mr. Britton will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Prugh’s Chapel with the Rev. Fred Sterling officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
