Alma Ellen Brissey, 84, of Burlington died at 12:19 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born October 20, 1921, in Oakville, she was the daughter of Christian and Lena Rein Kuntz. On May 7, 1959, she married Kenneth "Pete" Harold Brissey in Davenport. He died March 16, 2002. Mrs. Brissey was a homemaker. She was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include one son, Kevin Brissey of Wichita, Kansas; and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel. The funeral for Mrs. Brissey will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Beaty officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Great River Home Health Care and Hospice.
