Last rites for 60 year old Mrs. Ruth Brissey of 1115 Kroeger, who died Friday in St. Francis hospital, will be held at 1:30 pm Monday at the Elliot-Lunning Chapel.
Dr. George G. Hunt, pastor of First Methodist Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
The daughter of Edward and Mabel North Bigler, Mrs. Brissey was born at Red Oak on Sept. 19, 1901. She was married to James G. Brissey at Burlington on Feb. 20, 1921.
Mrs. Brissey was a member of First Methodist church and of EC Blackmar chapter, OES; the American Legion and VFW auxiliaries, and the Gold Star Mothers.
Surviving, besides the husband, are a son, James E. Brissey, Iowa City, and three grandchildren. A son, Calvin Brissey, was killed on Saipan in WWII.
Also surviving, besides the husband, are two brothers, Hugh Bigler or Birmingham, Ala., and Robert E. Bigler of Miami, FL.
