Mrs. Marguerite Blocker, 32, whose home is at the intersection of Cliff Road and Florence Avenue, died at 4:25 this morning in Mercy hospital after an extended illness.
Marguerite Buser was born in Burlington, January 12, 1901, the daughter of Charles and Christina Fritz Buser. Her father came here from Switzerland. She attended the Burlington schools and went to business college here going to Chicago in 1921. She was married November 29, 1923, to Edwin Blocker of Chicago, the family living there until 1930 when they returned to the old home place in Burlington. Mrs. Blocker was a member of Zion Evangelical church and is survived by her father, Charles Buser, her husband, Edwin Blocker, and on son, Edwin Junior, 8 years of age.
Funeral services will be held at the family home Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock with burial in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body is at Unterkircher’s funeral home.
