Walter Charles Breuer, 77, of 720 S. Plane died in St. Francis Hospital Monday at 1:13 after an extended illness.
He was born in Des Moines County on Sept. 5, 1885, the son of Louis and Caroline Breuer, and was married to Paula Schroeder, on Sept. 26, 1928, in Burlington.
He was a member of the First United Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge. He was a retired machinist having worked at the Burlington Railroad shops in West Burlington.
Survivors include: His wife; two daughters, Mrs. Rober E. Lucas, Burlington, and Mrs. Norman D. Anderson, Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Paul and Weskey Breuer of Des Moines County, Alfred Breuer of Burlington, Mrs. Clara Wilson, Boulder, Colo. Mrs. George Hingst of Burlington. His parents, three sisters, and two brothers are dead.
Services will be held in Prugh’s Chapel, Wednesday at 2 pm Rev. Donald V. Klohr officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
