Paula Breuer, 97, of Brush, Colo., formerly of Burlington, died Saturday, April 25, 1998 in Brush. Born March 17, 1901, in Bielefeld, Germany, she was the daughter of Eduard and Luise Bentrup Schroder. She married Walter Breuer on Sept. 26, 1928, in Burlington. He died Nov. 26, 1962. Mrs. Breuer worked at Bittner Furnture Store in Burlington for many years. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, the Women's Fellowship of the church, and the American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include two daughters, Betty L. Lucas of Fort Morgan,Colo., and Martha Anderson of Raleigh, N.C.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews in Germany. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and three brothers. There will be no visitation. The memorial service and inurnment for Mrs. Breuer will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Milo Van Veldhuizen officiating. A memorial has been established for the First United Church of Christ.
