Obituary
Mrs. Mollie Baldwin passed away at 11:15 am at her home, 1226 Angular Street. She was a teacher at North Hill school and had been attending to her duties as usual yesterday forenoon when she fell ill. She telephoned her husband, who took her home and she expired soon after reaching home. The physicians called it apoplexy and severe indigestion.
Mollie Straw was born in this city May 25, 1875, the daughter of Mr.s and Mrs. Henry Straw. She attended the public schools and graduated from the High school in January 1894, then spent the usual two years at the training school, and in 1897 she was appointed to a regular position at the North Oak school, where she developed into an excellent teacher. On June 18, 1907, she was married to Martin H. Baldwin. A year later she was prevailed upon to return to the work of a teacher, and she was in charge of the Fourth grade at North Hill school when the end came. At the school as wherever she was known, she was held in the highest esteem.
She was an attendant at the Congregational church.
Mrs. Baldwin is survived by the husband, her mother and a brother Fred A. Straw, all of this city, and will be held in kindly remembrance by a wide circle of relatives, friends, and acquaintances. She had not been in the best of health for some time, but the sudden and unexpected passing of this popular and faithful teacher proved a severe shock to all who knew her, in fact, to the whole community.
Funeral will be held from the family home, 1226 Angular St., at 2:30 pm Wednesday afternoon, with interment in Aspen Grove. The Rev. Dr. Naboth Osbourne, pastor of the Congregational church, will officiate at these services. Friends are invited to the services at the home but the interment will be private.
