Terry Charles Liggett, 59, of Burlington, died 2:48 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in his home.
Born on March 7, 1955 in Burlington, he was the son of George and Elsie "Vicky" Liggett.
Terry was an advertising salesman and was affiliated with First United Church of Christ. He enjoyed reading and tinkering with engines and machinery, working on motorcycles in his shop in St. Joseph Missouri, painting, drawing and listening to music. He loved to be outside in the "fresh air" and spending time with his son.
Survivors include his son; Jason (Alea) Moomey of Fort Madison; three sisters, Carolyn (Mike) Wagner and Susan (Wayne) Mueller of Burlington and Kimberly (Dan) Graham of Ursa, IL; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Joe Wilt.
The graveside memorial funeral service and inurnment for Mr. Liggett will be held at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel. Memorials have been established for Southeast Iowa Community Action, Great River Hospice or Hope Haven.
