Charles G. Wegener, 82, of 1830 Sunnyside avenue, died at Burlington hospital this noon after a two weeks illness. His death was caused by pneumonia. Mr. Wegener was born in Prussia, Oct. 11, 1852, but had lived here since he was a small boy. He was married here to Pauline Baumgaertner who preceded him in death several years ago. A retired cabinet maker, Mr. Wegener was a member of Bethany Lutheran church. He made his home with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh A. Walter, at the Sunnyside avenue residence. Besides Mrs. Walter, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. T. C. Holstein, Omaha, Neb., and six grandchildren. A son, Charles, preceded him in death. Funeral services have not been arranged. The body is at Prugh's chapel.
