Obituary
Information was received by relatives of the death last night of Charles Wegener at his home in New Orleans. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wegener, of this city, were called to New Orleans on January 1 by the serious illness of their son, but arrived too late to find him conscious. He succumbed to pneumonia following a severe attack of influenza. Charles Wegener was born here December 30, 1874 and attended the local schools. He was an upholsterer by trade, and about twenty-two years ago moved to New Orleans, where he made his home. He will be held in kindly remembrance by scores of his boyhood friends in this city, who extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives. He is survived by his wife and one son, Charles; his parents and two sisters, Mrs. High A. Walters and Mrs. T.C. Holstein, of this city. The parents are now enroute to Burlington with their son's body and the time for the funeral will be announced later.
