Mrs. Pauline Wegener, 78 years old, wife of Charles G. Wegener, passed away at 5:45 o'clock Wednesday evening at her home 1830 Sunnyside avenue, after an extended illness. Mrs. Wegener, born in Germany, November 23, 1851, had been a resident of Burlington for sixty years. She was united in marriage in Burlington March 23, 1874, and her husband survives her. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hugh Walter of Burlington and Mrs. Theodore Holstein of Omaha, Nebraska; one sister and six grandchildren. One son Charles preceded her in death. She was a charter member of Bethany Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held at the residence Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock with burial in the Aspen Grove cemetery. The body will be taken home from Prugh's chapel Friday evening.
