Florence G. Phelps, 94, of Burlington Medical Center's Klein unit, died Saturday, July 27, 1991, at the Klein unit. Born Feb. 21, 1897, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Alfred M. and Laura Walker James. She married Charles H. Phelps who died in1977. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christ Episcopal Church. There are no survivors. The graveside committal service for Mrs. Phelps will be held at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the Des Moines County Historical Society and the Christ Episcopal Church.
