Mrs. Sadie Bresser, 113 Court Street, wife of GH Bresser, died at Burlington Hospital last night several days after suffering a stroke.
Mrs. Bresser was born in Hillsboro, Ia., Feb. 22, 1865 to Eli and Nancy Anne Capehart Oxley, and had lived here for 54 years.
She was a charter member of the Hawkeye Natives Society auxiliary and also a member of First Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors Lodge.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Henry Bresser and Ira O. Wright, both of Burlington and a sister, Mrs. John Mitchell of Corydon, Ia. Her first husband, Ira Wright died here in 1893 and she was married to Mr. Bresser in Burlington in 1901.
Funeral services will be held from the Unterkircher funeral home at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon with interment in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
