John J. Brem, 80, 914 Curran St., died at 7:32 pm Friday, Nov. 18, 1988, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born July 8, 1908, in Burlington, he was the son of Joseph and Alice Brem. He married Evelyn F. Court Sept. 3, 1938, in Burlington.
He was a retired machine operator for General Electric and a member of the American Legion and St. Paul’s Catholic Church. He served in the US Army during WWII.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; a son, David Brem; two sisters, Marie Hoglund, Burlington, and Dorothy Walters, Garden Grove, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
A rosary will be said at 7 pm Sunday at Lunning Chapel with visitation following. Services for Mr. Brem will be at 10 am Monday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernie Weir officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the church.
