Obituary
Mrs. Verna L. Braun, 77, of 1408 Harrison, died in Klein Memorial Hospital at 7:50 am Sunday, Sept. 9.
The daughter of Milton and Ida Goodwin Adams, she was born Aug. 2, 1902, in Colony, Mo. She married Emil Braun on Aug. 1, 1926, in Quincy, Ill.
A long-time employee of the former Klein Department store, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its Ellen Shuff circle, EC Blackmar OES chapter, and Burlington Woman’s Club.
Surviving: The husband; four daughters, Sally Crocker, Richmond, Va., Barbara Campbell, Exira, Betty Bartlett, Cedar Rapids, and Mary Lou Dyer, Wever.; ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral: 1:30 pm Tuesday, Lunning Chapel, Rev. Gilbert A Saathoff; Aspen Grove Cemetery, OES service, 7 pm Monday at the chapel.
