Services for George Brann, 72, of 914 Emmett, who died Thursday at his home, will be held Sunday at 2 pm in the Giles funeral home, the Rev. Frank Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 12, 1890, in Kansas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Brann. On Sept 21, 1915, he married Lettie Sortor at St. Joseph, Mo. He was employed at the Murray Iron Works and was a member of the Machinist Union and Izaak Walton League.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Karl Kauer of Burlington and Mrs. Don Shupe of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Merrifield of Wichita, Kan.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The wife is dead.
