Obituary
Mrs. Lettie Brann, 67, of 914 Emmett died at her home early Friday morning after an extended illness.
She was born Mar. 8, 1890, in Canton, S. Dak., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jake Sortor. On Sept. 21, 1915, she married George P. Brann at St. Joseph, Mo. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen J. Kauer, Burlington, and Mrs. Beatrice Shupe, Keokuk; four brothers, Lester Sortor, Vancouver Wash., Howard Sortor, Melvin Sortor, and Edward Sortor all of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Stevens and Mrs. Maude Jericho of Des Moines; four grandchildren.
Services will be held from the Giles Funeral home Monday morning at 10 o’clock with Rev. Emanuel Wolff officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
