Obituary
Theodore F. Bischoff, 73, a well-known blacksmith, who conducted a horseshoeing shop on Jefferson Street, just west of Central Avenue, back in the days when there were horses to shoe, died early this morning at his home, 118 Clay Street.
Mr. Bischoff was born in Burlington Nov. 5, 1867, son of the late George and Julia (Dewein) Bischoff, spent his entire lifetime here, and had an accumulation of good friends who will mourn his death.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elsie Bouquet. Clarence Jr., a son by a former marriage; two daughters, Elsie(Mrs. Fred Shadley) and Violet; brothers, Louis, August, Albert of Burlington and Arthur, residing in Fullerton, California, and two sisters, Clara and Julia, of Burlington. There are eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Bischoff was a member of the Bethan Lutheran church. His body is at Prugh’s Chapel, where funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Dr. RR Bleter will officiate and burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
