Obituary
Last night between eleven and twelve o'clock, death claimed another of our pioneer citizens, Mrs. Eliza Weider, wife of Jacob Weider, closed her eyes in everlasting sleep at her residence, 510 North Third street. The deceased was one of the early settlers of Burlington and Des Moines county, having lived here over thirty-six years. She was born January 15, 1809. She was married to Jacob Weider, October 19, 1826, in Knox county Ohio, and came to Burlington with her husband, in 1844, arriving here the 11th day of April. She leaves a husband, who has been her companion for so many years, one son and a daughter to mourn her departure. Notice of the funeral will appear hereafter.
