Langley, Howard A. - Removed from GAR lot March 31, 1916 (Blk. 305, Row 4) Military honors marked the funeral of Howard Langley, an aged veteran and member of the G.A.R. which was held this afternoon at two o'clock, at the family home, No. 1410 Barnes street. The service, which was largely attended by old family friends was conducted by Dr. Wm. Salter and Rev. j.W. Hackley and was impressive in a high degree. The veterans of Matthies Post No 5 met at theri hall and attended the funeral in a body. The interment was in the soldiers lot in beautiful Aspen Grove following a request made by Mr. Langley shortly before his death that he might be laid beside his old comrades. The following pall-bearers were chosen from the members of Matthies Post: W.I. Anderson, S.E. Keller, F.J. Disque, Samuel Peabody, R.L. Plumer and Carlton Dryden.
