Alexander Cain, of 1210 South Fifteenth street , died this morning after having been sick with consumption for eighteen weeks. He was 69 years of age, 48 years of his life having been spent in Iowa. He was one of the oldest Odd Fellows in the state, having been a member for over twenty-six years. He will be buried at two o'clock on Thursday afternoon.
The funeral of the late Alexander Cain was held yesterday afternoon, at the family residence. Rev. Dr. Salter officiating. The friends of the deceased, including fifty members of Washington Lodge No. 1, I.O.O.F. came out in large numbers to attend the services. The pall bearers, all old settlers and old time friends of Mr. Cain were: Mesara, Whipple, Worrell, Buttles, Owens, Warden and Farlach.
