Obituary
William Thomas Bradfield, 87, 1001 South, died at Mercy Hospital Friday at 5:20 pm following an extended illness.
He was born at Creston, Oct. 17, 1875, the son of Abraham and Harriett Webb Bradfield. In 1897, he married Clara Warner at Burlington. He was a member of the Moose and the Hawkeye Natives and was employed by Andy Dehner as a cigar maker, later operating his own cigar factory. He retired about 10 years ago because of poor health.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Cecil Holcomb, Moline, Ill; one son, Roy Bradfield, Burlington; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Bradfield, Red Line, Pa.; several nieces and nephews. One son, a sister, and a brother are dead.
Services will be in Prugh’s chapel, Monday at 2 pm. Rev. RG Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
