Mrs. Jessie Bergundthal, 78, rural route one, Fort Madison Road, died in St. Francis hospital, Wednesday at 8:55 am after an extended illness.
She was born in Des Moines County, Aug. 20, 1879, the daughter of Cyrenus and Sarah McCash. On Sept. 21, 1898, she married Harry Burgundthal in Des Moines county. She was a member of the Christian Church of Wever.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Thelma B. Jacobs, Burlington rural route one; one brother, WD McCash, Burlington rural route one; a number of nieces and nephews. Her parents, one brother, and one sister are dead.
Services will be held in Prugh’s Chapel, Friday at 2 pm Rev. LZ Patton will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
