Lisa Oetken Bracey, 52, of Jacksonville, passed into the loving arms of her savior Jesus on Thursday, February 2, 2017, in Jacksonville, FL.
She grew up in Burlington, graduated from Burlington High School, and eventually moved to Jupiter, FL, where she met her loving husband, Doug Bracey III, whom she married in 1997. Lisa worked in a variety of careers, including the hotel industry and bookkeeping, eventually settling into her most beloved role of wife, mother and homemaker for Doug and their two sons, Dougie and Donnie. They relocated to Jacksonville, FL in 1999, where Lisa spent the rest of her life. She was a parishioner of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, where she cherished fellowship with her many friends, including the ladies she met through her participation in CRHP. Lisa will forever be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and having more love for everyone than she knew what to do with. Lisa truly lived her faith, always seeking to help or comfort those in need. She was also known for her love of music, gardening, and animals, especially her beloved cats.
Lisa is survived by her parents Donald and Barbara Oetken, her husband, Doug Bracey III, her two sons, Doug Bracey IV and Donald Benjamin Bracey; her sisters, Lori Parker of Burlington, Jennifer (Robert) Haley of Middletown; her brothers, Robert (Melanie) Oetken of Jupiter, FL, Matthew (Shannon) Oetken of Middletown, her grandmother Virginia Shelledy of Burlington, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Lisa was blessed with many, many special friends, too numerous to mention by name, but all of whom cherished Lisa’s loving friendship.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
