James Claire Boyle. 83. of Burlington, died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. Dec 22, 1998, at St. Francis Continuation Care Center in Burlington.

Born April 5, 1915, in Burlington, he was the son of James A and Hazel N. McGregor Boyle. On Oct 15, 1935, he married Betty Lou Nelson in Mount Pleasant. She died Jan.
27, 1985.

Mr. Boyle worked as a machinist for Murray Iron Works in Burlington for 39 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Eagles Lodge. both of Burlington, and the International Association of Machinists.

Survivors include two daughters. Luana Galvin of Burlington and Barbara Deiling of Yorba Linda, Calif.; four sons, Michael Boyle of Lake Stevenson, Ill., Jeffrey Boyle of
LaCrosse, Wis., Timothy Boyle of Burlington and Matthew Boyle of St. Paul, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Louis Boyle of Burlington; and three
sisters, Dorothy Walz of Burlington. Betty Carhoff of Mount Pleasant and Patricia Boyle of Palatka, Fla.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. James Claire Boyle, 83, Of Burlington, who died on Tuesday, December 22, 1998, at St. Francis Continuation Care Center will be held on Monday, December 28, 1998, at 10:00 AM. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Rev Patrick Lumsden will officiate.

Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. There will be a
Christian wake service at 7:00 P.M. this evening, following which, the family will receive friends until 9:00 PM. A memorial has been established for St. Francis Continuation Care Center friends may call after 9:00 AM. today.
