Word has been received here of the death Sept. 4 of Rachel Baldwin, 90, at LaJolla, Calif., where she has lived since 1957.
Miss Baldwin was born in Burlington in 1874, the daughter of William W. and Alice Tuttle Baldwin, long-time Burlington residents. She was the last of the Baldwin’s four children. Her brothers were Martin, William, and Roger Baldwin.
Miss Baldwin’s father was a vice president of the Burlington Railroad and a 50-year employee with the system. She was an 1897 graduate of Smith College.
Surviving are two nephews and a niece, William Baldwin of Winnetka, Ill., and Richard C. Baldwin of Hawaii, and Mrs. Dorothy Stearns of Albuquerque, N. Mex.
Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
