Obituary

Mrs. Anna M. Baumberger, 85, a resident of Burlington for many years, died at 12:15 am Thursday in Sacred Heart hospital, Ft. Madison, after an extended illness. For the past four years, she had made her home with a daughter in Ft. Madison.
Services will be held at 9 am Saturday in St. Paul’s Catholic church. The cortege will leave Prugh’s chapel at 8:55 am. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 3 pm Friday by the Catholic Women’s League and at 7:30 pm Friday in Prugh’s chapel.
Mrs. Baumberger was born July 9, 1875, in Cassville, Wis., the daughter of John and Clara Ahrendes Lambertz, and was married Nov. 17, 1897, in Burlington to Edward Baumberger.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, and the Catholic Women’s League.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Schmidt, Ft Madison, with whom she made her home; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Katherin Lambertz and Suzie Lambertz, both of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers are dead.
