Harold Joseph Bowman Sr., 67. of 2411 Washington. died in Burlington Medical Center Thursday. Dec. 19,
He was born May 11, 1918, in Monmouth. Ill., to Ruben and Florence Sheets Bowman. He married Esther May McGinity May 21, 1937. in Burlington. He had been employed at Leopold Desk Co. and had been a fireman.
Mr. Bowman served in the Marine Corps in World War II. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Surviving: His wife; six sons, David, Portland, Ore. , Jerry, Davenport, Robert, Monmouth, and Richard Sr.. Harold Jr.. and Jack, all of Burlington; a daughter. Margaret Krieger. Burlington; three brothers, William. Ralph, and Donald Bowman. all of Burlington; three sisters. Virginia McGinity. Margaret DonIan. and Frances Shepherd. all of
Burlington; 27 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Lunning Chapel, the Rev. Albert Hauser; Aspen Grove Cemetery A memorial has been established
