Mrs. Ruth A. Bowman, 86, St. Francis Continuation Care Center, died here Wednesday, Dec. 19.
She was born Ruth A. Hartman, on Oct. 23, 1898, in Burlington. She married Charles D. Bowman on June 23, 1917, in Burlington; he died earlier.
Mrs. Bowman was a retired employee of the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and a member of the First United Church of Christ.
Surviving: Son, John Bowman, Oquawka, Ill.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral: 2 pm Friday, Sheagren Funeral Home, the Rev. Alvin Volle; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
