Charles D. Bowman, 85, of 1500 S. Main, died Thursday, Oct. 19, at Burlington Care Center.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Bowman, he was born here April 14, 1893. He married Ruth Hartman here June 23, 1917.
A retired Burlington Northern Railroad engineer, he was a member of First United Church of Christ and the Railroad Veterans.
Surviving: The wife; son, John, Oquawka, Ill.; two sisters, Signa Magnuson, Indianapolis, Ind., and Hilda Janssen, Burlington; and four grandchildren.
Funeral; 2 pm Saturday, Seagren Funeral Home. Rev. Alvin F. Volle; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
