Obituary

Betty June Lovell Bowman, 72, of Burlington, died Friday, May 1, 1998, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Born June 16, 1925, at Donnellson, she was the daughter of William F. and Ada E. McDaniel Feikert. She married William A. Bowman in 1960. He preceded
her in death.

Mrs. Bowman worked at Sylvania for many years, the Western Club in Gulfport, Ill., and various other jobs throughout her lifetime. She was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Oglesby of Lowell and William J. Bowman of Burlington; three daughters, Shirley Penney of Mediapolis, Erma Penrod and Dixie Winstead, both of Burlington; 15 grand- children; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Feikert of Blandinsville, Ill., and Harold Feikert of Bushnell, Ill.; five sisters, Verna Lantz of Bushnell, Ill., Jane Carnes of Stronghurst, Ill., Alice Ackman of Galesburg, Ill., Anna Blythe
of Burlington and Nellie Thomson of Wapello; and many nieces and nephews,

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother and one infant sibling,

The body of Mrs. Bowman has been cremated. Food and fellowship will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at The Salvation Army, 217 S. Third St., with a memorial service to follow. Lt. Dan Sullivan will officiate. Burial Will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date

A memorial has been established Callahan Funeral Horne in Iowa City was in charge of the cremation,
